Using it safely

Simple safety steps

Nail Refresh is a topical oil for external use only. It's gentle by design, but it does contain essential oils, so a little care goes a long way:

• Patch-test first. Before your first full use, apply a small amount to the inner forearm and wait 24 hours to check for any reaction.
• Keep it away from the eyes and other sensitive areas. If it gets in the eyes, rinse with plenty of water.
• Don't apply to broken or bleeding skin, open cuts, or actively inflamed areas.
• Stop if irritation occurs. If you notice redness, itching or discomfort, discontinue use.
• Keep out of reach of children and do not swallow. For external use only.
• Check first if you're pregnant, breastfeeding, or allergic to any listed botanical or essential oil — ask your GP or pharmacist.

When to see a professional

A cosmetic oil is not a substitute for medical care. Please see your GP, pharmacist or a podiatrist if:

• A nail problem is spreading, painful, bleeding or producing discharge.
• You have diabetes, poor circulation or a weakened immune system — foot problems need closer attention.
• The nail is significantly thickened, lifting from the bed, or you suspect a fungal or bacterial infection that needs diagnosis.
